    How is the inactive door on your Air 4 Double Flat held closed?

    All of our steel double hinged swing doors come standard with an upper and lower flush bolt to lock the inactive door in place while not in use. To operate the inactive panel, you will need to unlock the top and bottom flush bolt latches on the doors edge. To lock it back in place, simply return the door to it’s closed position, and re engage the flush bolt latches.

    I am interested in ordering an in stock door. I am trying to understand the difference between the Air 4 and Air 5 double full arched doors?

    Both the Air 4 and Air 5 Double Full Arch doors are steel exterior french doors, with the difference being in the grid pattern design.

    The Air 4 will have 2 horizontal lines only, creating 3 vertical window panes, while the Air 5 will have 3 horizontal lines and 1 vertical line, leading to a 2x4 window pane design.

    Looking at the air 5 double flat. Do we have to make a frame for this door?

    All of our double steel entry doors come pre-hung, meaning the frame is included with the door. No additional frame is needed.

    I am interested in the air 4 flat French doors. 72 x 96. My only concern was how heavy they are to push open and lock?

    While our steel framed French Doors are heavier than their typical wood counterparts, they do not require additional strength to open. These doors will include bullet hinges separated by brass copper crush washers that your installer will grease during the installation process. This combination will make for a smooth and effortless operation of the door. Hinges should be greased with a standard grease gun about once a year to maintain this, depending on frequency of use.
