The Paint Process
Every PINKYS window and door goes through the same eight-stage industrial coating system for a high-quality, long-lasting finish. The steel is abrasive-blasted and given a phosphate pretreatment, then a cathodic E-coat as the primary corrosion barrier, a TIGER powder coat, and a PPG fluorocarbon topcoat that carries the color and resists UV fading and coastal weathering—corrosion protection comes from this coating system rather than galvanization. See our finishes & paint systems page for the full process. Because all of our products are handmade and painted, the color may differ a little from the photos. Use these samples to find the best color match for your project. You can choose from our classic in-stock collection or place a custom order in the color of your choice.
Our Most Popular Finishes
Black finish is the standard option for our Air series steel doors, which are readily available in our inventory. This finish features a smooth matte texture that especially complements modern and industrial-style residences and projects. White is available exclusively for our interior doors, and all of our doors and windows can be purchased in colors inspired by our native California landscape–cool Montecito Mint, deep Angeles Green, and PINKYS’ own rosy Sunset Pink.
If you’re looking for a more traditional look, our ornate iron doors come standard in an Oil Rubbed Bronze finish, featuring a dark coat accentuated by streaks of warm bronze. Its classic aesthetic complements a diverse array of architectural styles, from Spanish and Mediterranean-inspired residences to contemporary urban dwellings.
Rocky Mountain Hardware
We’re proud to carry Rocky Mountain Hardware products. Their family-owned business has been creating custom handcrafted bronze hardware and accessories for nearly 30 years. The Rocky Mountain Hardware samples showcase dynamic finishes that will evolve over time with exposure to atmospheric conditions and natural wear. The 10 sample ring set features all ten available Rocky Mountain hardware finishes, presented in both Silicon Bronze and White Bronze alloys, so you can find the perfect match for your vision.
