A Showroom Like No Other

Located inside PINKYS warehouse and headquarters in the heart of LA’s industrial capital of Vernon, and designed as a gallery-like experience and unique ‘guideshop’ for iron doors, windows and architectural elements, the space offers an experiential, first-of-its-kind system to browse product, and launches with PINKYS latest offering: California Collection.

Honoring years of collaboration between Brent and PINKYS family, the space is emblematic of the a longstanding creative relationship and common interest in designing beyond the bounds of convention. The design of the space pushes the possibilities of experiential retail by unapologetically merging a refined gallery setting within an industrial warehouse. The one-of-a-kind showroom embraces the tension between elegance and industry – a 'glass box' juxtaposed within an industrial warehouse envelope.

As Brent shares: “You've heard me say it before - creating spaces for others to create in is one of my favorite things to do. After years of filling JBD projects with PINKYS Iron Doors, I was incredibly excited about the opportunity to design their Los Angeles Showroom. In an active working space (the showroom is within a warehouse), the initiative was to really lean into the juxtaposition of 'Industrial Elegance.' We went bold with the color palette to add warmth, and played with sculptural lighting and furniture to conflict with the linear architecture. All together, the space really invites you to immerse yourself into the world of craftsmanship.”

The Race of Gentlemen (TROG)

The Race of Gentlemen (TROG) is a vintage drag race that celebrates pre-1950s hot rodding and motorcycle culture. The event was created by Meldon Van Riper Stultz and members of the Oilers Car Club.

New Jersey has a storied tradition of beach racing, including an epic 1-mile beach race in Cape May during the summer of 1905. The exhibition featured the likes of Henry Ford, Louis Chevrolet and speed record holder Walter Christie. At the time, the Cape May beach was deemed the “finest racing beach” in the world. The Race of Gentlemen has since moved from Asbury Park to Wildwood — a stone’s throw from Cape May — for its flatter, wider beaches and legendary boardwalk.
