Tubular Steel vs. Solid Steel
Air Series is built from tubular steel: a hollow steel profile, rather than a solid bar of steel. The difference is structural, not cosmetic, and it shapes what Air Series can do that a solid steel frame can't.

Because a tubular profile achieves the same structural performance with less steel, Air Series openings can go taller and larger than an equivalent solid steel frame allows, while using less material and keeping weight down. That structural efficiency is also what keeps Air Series cost-effective relative to a solid steel build of comparable size.

Air Series profiles are foam-insulated. This is a solid fill inside the tubular steel, not a thermal break: it improves the acoustic performance and the tactile, solid feel of the frame, rather than interrupting heat transfer the way a thermal break does. Air Series is PINKYS's non-thermally broken steel construction; where a project's climate or energy code calls for a thermal break, PINKYS builds with Ottostumm's W50 TB or Jansen's Janisol Arte 2.0 instead.
Air Series's tubular steel construction is built for scale. PINKYS's Air Series fixed windows and swing doors are engineered for large-format openings, including installations requiring hurricane-impact performance, and are tested and approved for large and small missile impact under Florida Product Approval — demonstrating the scale that tubular steel construction supports.
