    How much space do I need in my wall to accept a pocket slider?

    The amount of depth and width required in your wall to house an exterior steel pocket slider will depend on the side of the pocket door itself. If you navigate to the “Size” section of the pocket door product page, click on “Help Me Understand Size” button. You will find a section for “Jamb Size & Pocket Cavity”. This section will let you know what depth and width will be required for different doors sizes, along with the number of panels that will be included.

    I am thinking about a center split pocket slider, but want to build it with only 1 panel on the left and 3 panels on the right. Is that possible?

    When ordering one of our exterior center split patio pocket sliders, they will all come standard with an even amount of panels on each side, with that panel count depending on the width of the door.
