How to Install Your Door
1. Remove the Top Track
- Use a hand screwdriver to remove the small machine screws inside the top track.
- This will expose the screw holes needed for installation.
2. Assemble and Mount the Frame
- Attach all pocket cage pieces to the top frame before mounting it to the header.
- Place the assembled frame, including the pocket, inside the opening.
- Loosely secure the frame with screws and check that the top and upright sections are level.
3. Level and Secure the Frame
- Adjust the frame to ensure it is level.
- Use plastic shims behind the top frame and upright to level it.
4. Install the Top Track and Rollers
- Tighten all screws to keep the frame level.
- Insert the rollers loosely into the top track.
- Reattach the top track using the screws removed in Step 1.
- Do not use power tools, as they may strip the screws.
5. Prepare the Door Panel
- Remove the hanger mount screws from the door panel.
- Reattach the hanger mounts in the same holes—these will hold the rollers.
6. Install the Panel Bracket
- Place the backplate of the door inside the pocket.
- Do this before attaching the door panels to the rollers.
7. Attach the Hanging Brackets to the Door
- Remove the screws from the top of the door.
- Align the brackets with the existing holes and secure them with a hand screwdriver.
- Ensure both brackets face the same direction, with the inlets open toward the side you’re mounting from.
8. Hang the Door Panel
- Attach the rear-facing roller first, then the front roller.
- The screw tops on the rollers will clip into the brackets on the door.
- To adjust the door height, tighten or loosen these screws using the provided wrench.
9. Secure the Backplate
- With the door hung, align the backplate inside the pocket cage with the pre-drilled holes on the door.
- Tighten the screws to secure it, ensuring the J-hooks face the pocket cage uprights.
- When closed, the backplate should interlock with the pocket cage.
10. Install the Door Stops
- Position the stops where you want the door to start and stop.
- They won’t be at the very ends of the track since the rollers are inset.
- Secure them with the provided Allen wrench.
11. Final Adjustments and Finishing Touches
- Recheck the leveling of the frame. If needed, re-level the top and upright sections.
- Adjust door height by turning the top mount screws with the provided wrench.
- Install the floor guide where the door is notched.
- Cover screw holes with the provided push caps.
- Clean the product using Pinky’s Iron Door Spray.

Match Doors with Frames
Avoid Damage to Finish on Door and Frame
Doors are manufactured as one unit with their frames. If you have received multiple sets of the same size door, match the serial number of the frame with the door(s).
Refer to the CAD drawing that is on the packaging of the doors & frame (see below illustration). Ensure you match the entire serial & do not mix serial numbers between units. Hanging doors on the incorrectly matched frame can result in alignment issues.

Tips

Make sure to place two plastic shims opposing each other from each side of the jamb at each of the leveling points in order to most effectively shim and level your door. Wood shims can break and do not work for our doors.

Touch-Up
How to: Touch Up Iron Doors and Steel Windows
(Step 1: For Black and Oil Rubbed Bronze Doors)
Caution: Only use Blue Painters Tape on Pinkys Product
Avoid Damage to Finish on Door and Frame.
Pinkys Iron Doors is not liable for any damages caused by misuse of tapes and adhesives on your Pinkys product.
Please do not use any tape or adhesive other than blue painters tape to mask, cover,
or for any purpose on your Pinkys products.
If the blue painters tape is needed for extended amounts of time, please replace tape regularly as the sun can bake the adhesive onto the painted area.
If you must use red duct tape for stucco work or otherwise,
please first apply the blue painters tape and mask with red duct tape over the blue painters tape to avoid any contact with the door/frames paint itself
Using any other type of tape directly on your Pinky’s products will result in peeling/bubbling of the paint.
Post-Installation Instructions
- Following installation, it's essential to carefully vacuum away any loose dust or debris.
- For the duration of construction, shield your doors and windows using materials that effectively guard against dust and debris, covering all glass and metal surfaces. Only ever use blue vinyl painter's tape on PINKYS doors and windows.
- After construction and finishing tasks throughout the home are completed, cautiously remove the tape and coverings from your doors and windows. As a final step, use PINKYS Spray in order to give your door a protective layer and amazing shine.
