Boating
There’s no better way to spend the warm summer months than taking a dip in the lake. Whether you’re an avid swimmer or a novice, an ideal place to swim in is Lake Sammamish. You can enjoy several boating opportunities as it’s launched from the park.
If the weather is all clear, you can witness the majestic view of Mount Rainier right above the lake. The East Lake Sammamish trail is on the park’s right side, where you can ride on bicycles with your family. Not only will you get some exercise, but the trail itself is beautiful to go through.
Mountain Biking
If you’re looking for adventure and something you haven’t tried before, Duthie Hill Park should be top on your list. These trails are linked to three different parks and span 120 acres of land.
This park is a top mountain biking destination with guided jumps, root-free trails, and wooden bikeways. You can ride under a canopy of evergreens to practice your mountain-biking skills on technical jumps. If you’re a new biker, there are plenty of cross-country paths that are suited for beginners.
Fishing
Beaver Lake Park is one of the best places in Sammamish if you’re planning to catch fish fresh off the lake. It’s a lakeside treasure that includes waterfront shelters, grills, forests, parks for dogs, and ball fields.
You can enjoy the soft breeze and connect with nature while traversing through the trees and breathing in the evergreens.
