How to Measure
The goal when measuring your jamb for our interior steel double doors is to get the measurement from the outermost finishings of your walls (drywall, trim, etc.). To get this measurement, make sure that you're including all parts of the building materials and the finishings.

Specs & Materials
Frame & Jamb
These interior steel double doors are pre-hung and include both the door and fully assembled frame (each packaged separately for ease of transport and installation). The jamb size is measured at 1.5” and made from Ottostumm hot rolled solid steel.
These interior doors come with pre-installed 5mm thick tempered glass, with the exception of Frost glass, which will be dual pane tempered glass. Different glass thickness options are available via request with our custom sales team.
Strike Plates
Strike plates, which are typically included when purchasing a lockset, are the plates that receive the throws of the latch and deadbolt and secure your door in place. All of these interior steel double doors come with laser cut strike plate openings on the dummy leaf door, and feature pre-drilled and pre-tapped holes for machine screws. (Our standard interior steel double doors will have a single bore hole / strike plate cutout for active hardware only. Double bore holes are available via our made to order section).
Flush Bolt
These interior steel double doors are equipped with flush bolts installed on both the top and bottom of the inactive dummy leaf door. When engaged, these flush bolts will secure the dummy leaf door into the frame. On taller doors, we use a longer rod on the upper flush bolt for ease of access. When disengaged, both doors can fully open, allowing larger items like furniture to pass through more easily, while also creating a more open concept when entertaining guests.

Hinges
These interior steel double doors come standard with modern bullet hinges. The frame will have the bottom portion of the hinges welded on (Hinge and male pin). The top receiving portion of the hinge will be welded onto each door leaf, and include a screwed in grease fitting, allowing you to maintain and grease the hinges regularly via a standard grease gun.
One copper crush washer per hinge is included and required prior to hanging the door onto the frame. These washers protect the hinges by introducing a softer copper metal between the 2 hinge components in order to absorb the friction and allow the doors to swing smoothly. This hinge system is far superior to ball bearing systems, as the bearings are made of stainless steel, which is a harder metal inside a steel barrel, causing ware to both components and sagging over time.

Bolt-Through Design & Modular Capabilities
These standard steel interior double doors feature a bolt-through design. Pre-drilled holes along the frame’s perimeter allow for versatile mounting options within the rough opening of various framing materials.
These pre-drilled holes also allow you to take advantage of our modular interior door system. This system enables you to create full or partial wall partitions by pairing the door with one or more of our interior side windows.
Door Thickness
These standard steel interior double door leafs come standard at 1.46” thick, providing both security and durability. Keep this thickness in mind when sourcing locks, as lock manufacturers notate a range of thickness that each lock is compatible with.
