What is Door Slide Direction?
Door slide direction refers to the direction in which your double Interior Pocket Top Track Slider door will slide open and pocket into, when looking at it from the exterior of the door itself.
Pocket Left/Right
From the exterior, each door panel will slide to its respective side, and pocket into it's respective side's wall.
Facing the door, while standing on the exterior of your space, the left door panel will slide from right to left, pocketing into the wall to the left of the door. The right door panel will slide from left to right, pocketing into the wall to the right of the door.
Top Track and Roller Hardware
Our Double Interior Pocket Top Track Sliders come complete with a ceiling mounted top track. This top track houses four rollers with nylon wheels, two of which are secured to the top of each of the door panels via metal brackets. This combination provides a smooth and reliable sliding door system that is build to last.
Pocket Inserts
Four included pocket inserts provide your double Interior Pocket Top Track Slider door the space necessary to comfortably slide in and out of your wall cavity. These pocket inserts require a minimum wall cavity width of 3.7" pre-finish work.
Recessed Finger Pull
Recessed finger pulls come standard on our double Interior Pocket Top Track Sliders, providing a comfortable and ergonomic means to operate and slide your doors open and closed.
Edge Pull
Edge Pulls come pre-installed on all of our double Interior Pocket Top Track Sliding doors, making it easy to retract the doors when sitting within their pocket cavities.
Guide Pin
Included with each of out double Interior Top Track Pocket Sliders are two floor mounted guide pins. These guide pins act as a stabilizer for each door panel, guiding them along the correct plane when sliding open and closed.
Cleaning your doors
The glass and the metal should be cleaned with our Iron Door Spray on a regular basis. This spray is specially made to leave a protective coating on your door, as well as keep the door clean from dirt and grime.
Spray our Iron Door Spray directly onto a microfiber towel, then wipe evenly along the surface of both the glass and metal. Spraying directly onto the window itself can more easily create streaks along the surface of the glass and door.
FAQs
Do I need to use a different glass cleaner and metal cleaner separately?
No, our Iron Door Spray will seamlessly clean each surface of your door. This will both clean your door, and give a layer of protection.
How do you mount the top track?
Our double Interior Pocket Top Track Sliders come standard with ceiling mounted tracks. Wall mounted versions can be purchased by reaching out to one of our sales representatives here at PINKYS.
How do I know if I have enough space in my wall for the door to pocket into?
These double Interior Pocket Top Track Sliders require a minimum wall cavity of 3.7" pre-finish work in order for the door to function properly. You will want your installer to verify you have this 3.7" of space at minimum.
Can I install my Interior double Pocket Top Track Slider in the opposite slide direction?
Because these interior double Pocket Top Track Sliders split from the center, installing in the reverse direction will result in the same slide direction, but flip the interior of the door to the exterior, and vise versa. We recommend keeping the interior and exterior of the door as intended to maintain the doors intended design characteristics.
How is a pocket top track sliding door different from a standard top track sliding door?
A standard top track sliding door typically has it's sliding panel(s) slide and overlap their adjacent walsl. A pocket top track sliding door has it's door panels slide into cavity pockets within the walls, hiding the door panels while in their open positions.
Is the slide direction viewed from inside or outside?
The slide direction is always viewed from the exterior of the door itself.
