Awning Window Swing

What is Window Swing?

When looking at Awning Windows, swing refers to the direction in which the window opens, which plays an important role in design, space planning, and accessibility.

Awning Swing Types

Outswing

All of our Awning Windows push outwards, towards the exterior of your space, via a Ring Pull at the base of the window. These Awning Windows are supported by friction hinges on the left and right portions of the window frame, and will push the bottom portion of the window out 4 from the frames edge.

Ring Pull

Our Awning Windows will include a black ring pull to operate the window open and closed, which works in conjunction with its paired friction hinges. This ring pull extends the awning out 4 inches from the windows frame and secures the window in the open position.

Friction Hinges

Our Awning Windows will include concealed friction hinges, which work in conjunction with its paired ring pull. These friction hinges help guide the awning window open and closed along the necessary plane, and hold the window open at its furthest point.

Cleaning your Windows

The glass and the metal should be cleaned with our Iron Door Spray on a regular basis to protect it from UV rays. This spray is specially made to leave a protective coating on your window, as well as keep the door clean from dirt and grime.

Spray our Iron Door Spray directly onto a microfiber towel, then wipe evenly along the surface of both the glass and metal. Spraying directly onto the window itself can more easily create streaks along the surface of the glass and window.
