SWING OPTIONS

Bi-Fold RHO

(RHO) Right hand out swing:  You are facing the door standing outside, exterior side, of the door.  The handle or lock will be on your left side, the hinges will be on the exterior right side of the door and the door will swing towards the outside from left to right.  When the door is at its open position, the door will be resting on the right exterior side.

Bi-Fold LHO

(LHO) Left hand out swing:  You are facing the door standing outside, exterior side, of the door.  The handle or lock will be on your right side, the hinges will be on the exterior left side of the door and the door will swing towards the outside from right to left.  When the door is at its open position, the door will be resting on the left exterior side.

HOW MUCH SPACE DOES A BI-FOLD DOOR NEED WHEN FULLY OPENED? 

The bifold door will stick out (1) one panel length when it is fully opened and resting to one side

  • You will have an active door for convenient everyday use. An active door operates like a regular single swing door. You will be able to open a single swing door for everyday use without having to open the entire bi-fold door every time you want to use it.
    • LHO (left hand out swing) bi-fold doors will have its active door on the very right side (when facing the bi-fold from the exterior)
    • RHO (right hand out swing) bi-fold doors will have its active door on the very left side (when facing the bi-fold from the exterior)
