Swing Capacity: 180 degrees

These doors can open a full 180 degrees as long and the door frame and hinges are placed correctly in your rough opening. Please note, every project site is different and this is solely dependent on nothing on site blocking the opening space of the door and the installation method your installer chooses to install the product.  Make sure your contractor knows that you’d like the doors to open 180 degrees before they install it. They must take into account the thickness of the finishings as well.

Our AIR series steel doors use steel bullet hinges that come pre-mounted to the doors and frames. These can not be removed or adjusted. One copper crush washer will need to be placed on each bullet hinge before hanging each door.

On top of each hinge, you’ll see a Zerk fitting (a brass nipple) that makes greasing your door significantly easier. These fitting do not have caps and are meant to be uncovered.

Made with 12 gauge galvanized steel and 5 mm thick double paned tempered glass with true light divide, our doors are made with top notch materials and are held to a top notch standard.

Our doors and frames are handmade from steel and are fitted perfectly to the frame that they are sold with. Because of this, frames and doors are not interchangeable.

The copper crush washers that we use on all of our hinges help the steel to not deteriorate from constantly rubbing together.

In addition to the copper crush washer which will only need to be replaced once you see it getting significantly slimmer (usually every few years), these doors also must be greased every 12 months or so. If you hear your doors squeaking before 12 months, it’s a good idea to grease them then.

Greasing the hinges is very easy. All you need is a standard grease gun and petroleum grease. Once your grease gun is loaded and primed, place the nozzle directly on top of the brass nipple and press straight down until you hear a click. Once you hear the click, keep the gun pressed down and pump the lever 1 to 2 times. If grease starts to seep out of any of the crack of the hinge before you finish the full two pumps, stop, whip off the grease and move on to the next hinge.

The glass and the metal should be cleaned with our “Iron Door Spray” on a regular basis to protect it from UV rays. This spray is specially made to leave a protective coating on your doors while also cleaning it at the same time.

Do I need to use a different glass cleaner and metal cleaner separately?

No, our Iron Door Spray will seamlessly clean each surface of your doors and transoms. This will both clean your doors and transoms, and give a layer of protection from the sun.

Can I buy inswinging doors and then switch them?

No, you can not. These doors and transoms have differences on the interior and exterior sides in order to ensure that your doors and transoms all maintain a matching style and direction of beveling on their lites.

How long will it take for me to get my doors and transoms once I purchase them?

The lead times are always kept up to date on our site on any product’s page, however our in stock items ship from our warehouse here in Los Angeles within 2-3 days.

Can I hang these doors on a regular door frame in my house?

No, you can not hang our doors on other hinges. Our doors, transoms, and frames are handmade to fit each other exactly. When you buy doors from us, they will come with their own frame for you to install.
