We use multiple coats of automotive-grade paint on these galvanized steel doors. After their welds have been galvanized, they are primed and baked. Once they’ve gone through this process, they are clear-coated and ready to ship. 

Our exterior colors include Black, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Sunset Pink, Montecito Mint, Palm Desert Sand, and Angeles Green.

Our interior colors include all of the above, plus white. 

No. White paint is very sensitive to oxidization and discoloration and will show wear within a matter of weeks when installed outdoors. 

No, these doors are not powder coated. Instead, we use automotive-grade paint. 

Yes, you are able to get a custom color through our custom department. There will be an additional cost for custom colors.

We measure the frame only because all of our doors come with the hand-made frame that they were made to be hung on.

Yes, with the exception of very small panes only available on custom orders, all of our glass is tempered.

The most important benefit of tempered glass is safety. Tempered glass reduces the risk of injury due to its tendency to break into small, circular pieces instead of sharp, jagged shards.

Tempered glass is also strong. Because the process of heating and applying chemicals strengthens the glass, tempered glass is an excellent choice for doors and any other projects where maximum durability is desirable.

We offer multiple levels of energy efficient glass and doors. NFRC glass can be added to any door and many of our doors have been efficiency tested in many different configurations. We have NRFC glass, NFRC doors, and energy star rated doors and glass, with U factors as low as .21.

The “E” in Low-e stands for emissivity - the ability to emit radiant energy. Low emissivity or Low-E Glass has a coating of microscopically-thin metal layers fixed to the surface to keep the heat on the same side of the glass from which it originated. 

Double-paned doors have two sheets of glass in the door frame instead of just one. Between the glass panes is a narrow gap filled with insulating gas to further improve insulation.

Yes. Doors with removable screens are available as Standard Sizes and Custom products only. 

Unfortunately we do not do home visits, however we do have the information needed for you or a contractor to make the correct measurements needed.
